NCME is seeking an Executive Director with experience in educational measurement to lead the organization in advancing its mission, nurturing a culture of excellence, and strengthening its role in educational measurement research, practice, and policy.
The ED serves as NCME’s chief executive, reporting to the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors, and acts as an ex officio, non-voting member of the Board. This role requires a leader with vision, organizational savvy, and deep knowledge of educational assessment who can operate effectively in NCME’s lean operating model—where strategy is guided by the ED, and daily operations are carried out through a contracted Association Management Company (AMC). Successful candidates will have experience and knowledge of educational assessment practices, as well as non-profit organization management.
